Our company, founded by Mr. Vedat KARATAŞ, the Chairman of the Board, in the year 1979, initially focused on providing equipment, machinery, and technical services needed by the bakery industry. Over the years, we expanded our operations by acquiring dealerships, developing sales and marketing networks. Throughout this time, by experiencing and understanding the challenges, needs, and demands of bakery product manufacturers first-hand, we started manufacturing machinery and supportive products to enhance the efficiency of bakery product manufacturers and bakers starting from the mid-1980s.
As we entered the 2000s, the bakery industry, which was developing in parallel with the country’s economy, placed increasing emphasis on mechanization to meet the growing demand of higher-income consumers. This led to the importation of machines from abroad at astronomical prices, which could not be produced domestically. During those days, many businesses suffered significant losses due to imported machinery. Adhering to its principles, KARATAŞ THERMAL ENGINEERING couldn’t stand idly by in this situation. The company began working to protect the sector and ensure that the country’s financial resources remained within the country. Through successful R&D efforts, it managed to manufacture many machines that couldn’t be produced domestically and became a cornerstone for the strength of the bakery and pastry industry in our country.

He consistently offered the highest level of service and closeness to customers at every level, earning the affection and respect of people as “the elder brother of bakers” in our country during the 90s.
